据美媒4月14日报道（当地时间），华为创始人任正非在接受CNBC采访时，首次就向苹果提供5G芯片一事公开表态：“在这一点上，我们是向苹果开放的。”

众所周知，华为正努力在2020年成为全球最大智能手机制造商。因此，华为能在此时大方地向最大竞争对手之一的苹果公司“伸出援手”，着实让人意外。

据 Global Times 4月11日报道，此前华为对外称5G芯片只对内部产品开放。

Previously, the Shenzhen-based company had emphasized that its 5G chips are for use in its "internal products" only. In a media interview in January, the company said that Huawei will not sell its self-developed 5G chipsets to third-party companies.

此前，这家总部位于深圳的公司强调，它的5G芯片只供“内部产品”使用。在1月份的媒体采访中，该公司表示华为不会将自主研发的5G芯片销售给第三方公司。

In an interview with CNBC that aired Monday, Huawei founder and CEO Ren Zhengfei said the company would consider selling its 5G chips to Apple.

在CNBC播放的一个访谈节目上，华为的创始人和CEO任正非先生说，华为愿意考虑将5G芯片卖给苹果。

“We are open to Apple in this regard,” Ren said. The CEO spoke in Mandarin, which was translated into English by an official translator.

“我们对出售5G芯片给苹果持开放态度，”任正非说。任正非用普通话回答。一位译员将他的话翻译成英文。

任正非也在该采访中评价了苹果公司的联合创始人史蒂夫·乔布斯 （Steve Jobs）。

Ren called Apple a “great company” and its founder Steve Jobs a “great man.”

任先生称苹果是一家“伟大的公司”，；它的联合创始人史蒂夫·乔布斯是一位“伟大的人”。

“Mr. Jobs was great not because he created Apple, but because he created an era, the mobile internet era,” Ren told CNBC. “Saying that he was great is an understatement. I think he was super-great.”

“乔布斯先生很伟大，不是因为他创造了苹果，而是因为他创造了一个时代，移动互联网时代。说他伟大有点轻描淡写。我觉得他十分杰出，”任正非告诉CNBC。

现任华为消费者业务CEO余承东亦表示，华为的5G芯片将对考虑第三方公司开放。

Huawei's 5G chipsets are open for sale to third-party companies, and the company will "say yes" if US device giant Apple want to buy it, Richard Yu Chengdong, CEO of Huawei's consumer business group (CBG), said on Thursday.

现任华为消费者业务CEO余承东上周四表示，华为的5G芯片将对考虑第三方公司开放；如果美国苹果公司想要购买华为的5G芯片，华为会答应。

"We'll say yes if Apple wants to use them," Yu said.

余承东说：“如果苹果公司想使用我们的5G芯片，我们会同意的。”
